This month’s fire safety tip is from a firefighter who also serves as a seasonal park ranger at Garden of the Gods. During his time as a high school cadet firefighter in his hometown of Knobnoster, Missouri, Ryan Seng decided he wanted to be a professional firefighter. He first served as a firefighter for the Knobnoster Volunteer Fire Department. He spent five years with the Black Forest Fire Department before joining the FFPD about six months ago. During his off-duty hours, he likes to go hiking with his wife. This month’s fire safety tip is especially meaningful to Seng since his father is a commercial pilot. People should never point a laser at a helicopter (or a plane), he said, adding that recently there have been two instances where Flight for Life helicopter transports were interrupted by lasers.Stay connected with the Falcon Fire Protection DistrictWebsite: http://www.falconfirepd.orgFacebook: Falcon Fire DepartmentTwitter: @FalconFireDeptNextDoor.com
