Colorado Springs Guns and Ammo East is scheduled to open the second week in October at 7165 North Meridian Road in Falcon. The first Colorado Springs Guns and Ammo has been open for more than two years at North Carefree and Powers Boulevard.Victor Batchelder, who oversees both gun shops, will be managing the Falcon store, with four employees. The gun shop is comprised of three units in the commercial building. They will showcase all types of firearms for sale ó rifles, revolvers, shotguns and more. Batchelder said they want a ìone-stop shop for firearms.î All sorts of gun accessories will be available as well, from holsters to ammunition.Concealed safety classes will be offered at the Colorado Springs location. ìOur focus is on customer service,î Batchelder said. ìWith a first-time buyer, we will walk through each step Ö making it a comfortable transition to the gun industry. Learning about gun ownership is important; itís all about knowledge.îIncluding background checks, the process to purchase a gun takes about 15 to 30 minutes, he said. ìItís an easy process, and you can get approved the same day,î Batchelder said, adding that they adhere to all the legalities necessary to purchase a firearm. ìWe definitely fight people getting guns illegally,î he said. ìGun owners have to be responsible. Itís all about safety, safety, safety.îThe new store will be open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
