Eastern Plains Chamber June 4 meeting highlights

By Larry Sparks

On June 4, a dynamic group of entrepreneurs, business leaders and community influencers convened for the Eastern Plains Chamber of Commerce’s monthly breakfast meeting. Attendees explored fresh insights to strengthen their businesses and prepare for the future. The event was sponsored by All Phase Restoration.

The morning began with Greta Brisk, customer liaison for All Phase Restoration, showcasing the company’s comprehensive disaster restoration services. All Phase Restoration specializes in water mitigation, mold remediation, fire and smoke damage cleanup and complete rebuilds for residential, multi-family and commercial properties.

Brisk shared vivid before and after case studies that highlighted the urgency and importance of expert help during a crisis. Her message was clear: When disaster strikes, having a trusted restoration partner makes all the difference.

As part of the Pike’s Peak Small Business Development Center’s ongoing educational series, the main presentation featured Josh Waymire and Matt West of Fulcrum Wealth Consulting. Both are certified exit planning advisors who specialize in helping business owners prepare for one of the most important transitions of their careers: exiting their businesses.

  • Josh Waymire, with nearly 30 years of experience in financial leadership, shared lessons drawn from navigating global economic shifts and market volatility. His dedication to lifelong learning ensures that his clients benefit from current best practices tailored to evolving financial landscapes.
  • Matt West works closely with business owners and high-net-worth individuals, guiding them through business succession planning, wealth management and customized investment strategies. His approach emphasizes that no two exit strategies are alike — each must be crafted around the owner’s unique goals and circumstances.

“Leaving a business without a plan is like setting sail without a compass,” Waymire said. “A clear exit strategy helps ensure long-term success — for both the business and its owner.”

The Eastern Plains Chamber of Commerce continues to serve as a driving force for economic development in the region. Through events like the June breakfast meeting, the Chamber delivers valuable resources, education and networking opportunities that help local businesses grow, adapt and lead.

Plans are already in motion for the next monthly breakfast meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, July 2. Chamber members and guests can look forward to more expert insights, community connections and strategies for thriving in today’s evolving business landscape.

The Chamber meets on the first Wednesday of the month at Grace Community Church in Falcon. For more information, visit https://www.easternplainschamber.com/.
