Troop 149 food drive

Submitted by Grant Winger

Boy Scout Troop 149 sponsored its annual Scouting 4 Food Drive in Falcon, which culminated on April 12 with food and financial donations for the local area. Grant Winger, executive director of the Fresh Start Center, would like to thank the Scouts plus everyone who donated the goods and those who helped gather and sort donations. This year’s drive brought in 14,622 pounds of food and just over $2,000 in financial donations, which helps fight hunger and poverty for people in the area. Grant also thanks the Easter Plains Chamber of Commerce for their support in sponsoring this year’s drive.
