As of this date, the Falcon volleyball record is 6-10 overall and 2-5 in league games, with three games to go. A lack of experience could account for the record. There are only three seniors on the 12-person roster, and one of their two captains, Megan Orth, is a sophomore. However, they show promise for the future, as the young nucleus of the team grows throughout the next few years.The Vista Ridge volleyball team is in a worse predicament as of this date, with a record of 6-17, but no one has had a tougher season than the Sand Creek volleyball team. With only one more match to go as of this publication date, the team is 1-17.The Sand Creek softball team concluded their season with a victory over St. Maryís, finishing 5-14. Falconís softball team finished on a slightly better note at 11-10, but at one time they were undefeated with seven wins and no losses. Softball at Vista Ridge didnít fare so well; they could only muster up a 33 percent winning record at home.On the soccer field, Vista Ridge and Falcon squared off Oct. 15. With both teams below the 500-mark nothing was on the line except the bragging rights. Vista Ridge had a record of three wins, 10 losses and one tie. Falcon needed the win since their record was a disappointing 0-14. Vista Ridge ended up handing the Falcons another loss, winning 6 -0. The Sand Creek soccer team ended with a 7-8 record. Fall sports are winding down, as winter sports like basketball and wrestling lurk right around the corner.
