AARP

Black Forest Festival

By Stan Beckner

Over cloudy and occasionally rainy skies, Chapter 1100 of AARP in Black Forest participated in the 2023 Black Forest Festival in August.  The chapter provided an array of free literature applicable to today’s living as well as free cold water. Pastries and other items were also available. Chapter members participated in the breakfast prepared by the area R&R Cafe and the Boy Scouts, and one chapter member hitched his tractor to a trailer with hay bales on it and provided free hay rides to many young participants at the festival.

Membership in Chapter 1100 is available to all ages. Our motto is “To Serve not to be Served.” Individuals interested in our chapter meetings should contact our president, Candace Lehmann, at 314-3300411.
