This month’s fire safety tip comes from Firefighter Noah McKelvin, who has been with the Falcon Fire Protection District since 2018. Before becoming a firefighter, McKelvin worked at various construction jobs, including painting and welding. He said he became a firefighter because many of his friends were firefighters, and he wanted to serve the community in a greater way. What McKelvin likes most about his job is the camaraderie. He said there are unique, strong bonds between firefighters. He is single and spends many of his off-duty hours in the great outdoors enjoying sports like rock climbing and ice climbing.May fire safety tip: Noah McKelvin said it is important to have a fire escape plan in your house and conduct fire drills. He advises people to have several escape routes from each room of their house, and to close bedroom doors at night to prevent the spread of fire.Stay connected with the Falcon Fire Protection DistrictWebsite: http://www.falconfirepd.orgFacebook: Falcon Fire DepartmentTwitter: @FalconFireDeptNextDoor.com
