The High Plains Helping Hands food pantry was able to purchase a storage container, thanks to the Farmerís State Bank Gift Program.HPHH Director Rose Mizer said the bank provided a $4,300 grant that paid for almost all of the $5,075 cost of the 40-foot container, which the pantry has desperately needed for extra storage. The pantry plans to use the container to store Christmas toys and decorations, school supplies, Motherís Day gifts and birthday and newborn baby gifts. In short, anything that is collected or donated for special events throughout the year.High Plains Helping Hands extends their deepest appreciation to Farmers State Bank for the grant to purchase the storage container. For more information about the pantry, call 719-495-3123.
