With two qualified candidates for each of two divisions, the Upper Black Squirrel Ground Water Management District will hold an election on Feb. 7 to elect two board members.Orbin Hall Jr. and Mark Greeley are running for division 3; Richard Jenkins and Timothy Hunker are running for division 4. Both divisions include parts of the Falcon area.The deadline for applying for a mail-in ballot has passed, so people wishing to vote in the election must go to the district’s office at 520 Colorado Ave. in Calhan, Colo., on Tuesday, Feb. 7 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.Only registered voters who live and own property in division 3 or 4 and have paid property taxes on that property in the past 20 months are eligible to vote in this election.For questions, call the district’s secretary, Tracy Doran, at 719-347-0704. The office is open Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
