Megan and Mike Davis already owned four restaurants in Colorado when opportunity came knocking for a Falcon location. They purchased Frankieís Too at 7376 McLaughlin Road, and changed the name to Redís American Grill (nod to one of their daughters). The restaurant business is a Davis family affair. They have five children; two of them are grown and working full-time in their restaurants; the other three children are in school and help out occasionally. ìOur†businesses are not really work for us. It is what we love to do,î said Megan Davis. When not working in the restaurants, the family attends a daughterís soccer games, and they ski and play golf together. The family has lived in Black Forest for nine years and has restaurants in Colorado Springs and Monument. They have owned Back†East†Bar & Grill in†Briargate†for 16 years and the Back East Bar & Grill in Monument for eight years, Atmosphere†Gastropub†for five years, and Abbys Irish Pub for four years. The name Redís American Grill tells it like it is ñ American food is their specialty. Davis said, ìThe menu is full of house-made items. We pride ourselves in doing as much as we can this way. We smoke our own meats, batter our own fish, hand-bread our own†chicken.†All of our sauces and sides are house made.†A lot of the†recipes are old family recipes at all locations.îDavis said growth in the Falcon community ìis inevitableî with the Springs growth and the large military presence in the county. ìWith the new King Soopers and†multiple other local businesses coming to the area, we believe the†commerce will stay strong in the coming future,î she said. ìWith all the new housing coming to Falcon, there is so much room for growth of employment.î The family intends to be more involved in the community with membership in the chamber and working with school fundraisers.Redís Bar and Grill is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner starting at 11 a.m.; and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting at 8 a.m. for breakfast. Their menu is posted on their website at https://redsamericangrill.com.
