Waldo and Joanne Pendleton were jointly presented with the AARP Community Service Award for 2007 at the Black Forest AARP Chapter meeting May 7. The community service award is presented annually in appreciation for outstanding service to the community.The Black Forest Chapter first vice president read a letter of congratulations from William D. Novelli, AARP chief executive officer and presented the award. Each were awarded a certificate and commemorative pin. The Pendleton’s are long-time residents of the Black Forest area and are very active in church and community activities. They are congratulated for being selected for this honor and are extended the best wishes for the future.
