Francis Schneider has been named Peyton Fire Protection District fire chief.Schneider has been the acting chief since Nov. 8, and has 20 years experience as a firefighter.The Peyton Fire Protection District accepts applications for new volunteers every Wednesday evening at the Peyton firehouse.
