Submitted by Karen Wood of Falcon ó Lisa is Karenís sister; Karen is a member of the Falcon Book ClubIngredientsCrust2 cups flour1/2 cup powdered sugar1 cup softened butter (no substitutions)Mix the ingredients and pat into a non-greased 9 X 13 pan.Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, until the top is a bit brown; (Lisa bakes hers for 18 minutes.)Filling for crust8 oz. completely softened cream cheese2 eggs1/2 cup sugar1 teaspoon almond extractMix all ingredients and pour over hot crust.Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes until ingredients are set and top is golden brown.Topping1 1/2 cup to 2 cups powdered sugar1/4 cup melted butter (more if using 2 cups of powdered sugar)1 1/2 teaspoon milk (add more if using 2 cups powdered sugar)1 teaspoon almond extractMix all ingredients and spread on cooled bars; top with slivered almondsENJOY!
