Beverly Ordon, chairman of the board of Falcon Senior Services, was guest speaker at the December meeting of the Lions Club of Falcon. She gave an overview of the activities and programs available to residents of the Falcon area age 60 and over. Ordon was presented with a check for $250 to be used toward building a new senior center. The center will be built on property subleased from Farmers State Bank and the Falcon Fire Protection District. The site is north of the new Falcon fire station near the intersection of Stapleton and Meridian Ranch roads. Construction will be completed with grants, donations, fundraising and a loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Site preparation is scheduled to begin in January.
