The Leo Club decided to focus a community service project for National Mill Dog Rescue in Peyton. The dogs they rescue need canned dog food for dogs with eating problems (such as dogs with few teeth); many need dental work because of broken or infected teeth. The Leo Club voted to spend $300 on supplies for the rescue organization. The club purchased bleach, detergent, latex gloves and lots of canned dog food. After a tour of the rescue, each student spent time with a dog ñ they petted the dogs and held them, played ball with them and took them for a walk. The Leo Club spent three hours at the rescue, and the visit was a huge success. The Leo Club is sponsored by the Falcon Lions Club of Falcon and the club advisors are Joe and Jane Boehringer.
