The annual Korean War Armistice Day commemoration will be held in Memorial Park in Colorado Springs on Saturday, July 23, starting at 10 a.m. Widefield High School JROTC will provide the color guard, the proclamations will be read by the Colorado Springs City Council and El Paso County commissioners; the guest speaker will provide brief comments. The event, hosted each year by the Dutch Nelson Chapter, Korean War Veterans Association, honors American men and women who fought, served and died in Korea. The Pikes Peak community is invited.
