Dear Editor,As a registered Democrat I see I would not be welcome at the upcoming Doug Bruce meeting inviting “All Republicans…” to attend. This legislative update seems to be open only to this select group as opposed to all citizens who may have interest in what our legislator is saying. It is my sincere hope this is a “typo” and not direct copy from Rep. Bruce. Otherwise, it smacks of the usual exclusionary mentality of the Republican Party. Brings to mind those who have been kicked out of presidential forums for wearing the “wrong” t-shirt or being arrested for saying the “wrong” thing to a Republican officeholder in this administration. Kind of controverts the whole “open meeting” concept Rep. Bruce rails about. In fact, the whole notion of government “for the people” is called into question, huh?Richard D.
