It seems like only yesterday that High Plains Little League began but already we are getting read for our second season.Last year, we enrolled 176 ball players (ages 5 to14), who placed on 15 teams. We had wonderful and supportive volunteer coaches, umpires concession personnel and parents. With the help of the volunteers from last year and this year’s new volunteers, the league’s board of directors looks forward to another successful year.We expect at least 30 percent growth over last year. The D-49 staff is working steadfast with this league to ensure places for our kids to play and practice baseball. The local business community is getting behind this league, just as they did so generously last year.
