Heather Zambrano of THE Original Basket Boutique in Falcon, Colorado, has closed her successful gift basket operation to focus on a new cookie-based fundraising company. ‘Em Cookies is a partnership between Zambrano and Chistine Yocum of Art & Style Baking in Colorado Springs. ìThis lets me be even more involved in Falcon because it lets me work with the schools and other great organizations trying to raise money,î Zambrano said. ìThis is a better fit for the philanthropy that I have deep in my heart and feel I need to stay true to.î Yocum said the program will start locally but is designed to grow nationally. ìWhat sets us apart is being social-media driven; there is no order taking on the part of the school or nonprofit, or even delivery,î Yocum said.
