Falcon entices families to settle in the area for a variety of reasons. The laid-back pace, not-too-big but not-too-small feel and convenient location rate high in its appeal. Local businesses provide a multitude of shopping options. Unique youth programs and civic groups provide a sense of community. Many of these businesses and groups are new to the community, while others have served the area for many years.Farmer Jim’s Feed Store and Falcon Feed have catered to local ranchers and farmers for over a decade. Still, with their roots firmly planted in the Falcon community, change is sometimes inevitable. Read about recent changes both businesses have undergone.Another Falcon institution, Meadow Lake Airport, offers local youths an opportunity to explore aviation. Read about how the program has catered to young aviators for generations.As Falcon matures, programs are launched to cater to expanding interests residents bring to the area. Falcon School District 49 has a long-standing tradition of offering students an opportunity to participate in a variety of sports. The tradition continues as another sport has recently been introduced to district students.
