And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?It came without ribbons. It came without tags.It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.-Dr. SeussIt’s hard to believe that the holiday season is here already. With the hustle, bustle and pressures galore, it’s no wonder we can get a bit “Grinchy” in December! Whether or not we are ready, the day will arrive and we must somehow be relaxed, ready and able to enjoy all the festivities.Whether we celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa; we all want the wonderful parts of the holidays to go on forever. And let’s not forget the joy of the roast beef, ham, turkey, twice-baked potatoes, latkes, disguised vegetables and, oh yes, all those desserts! But … sometimes the holiday isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Hopefully, you will enjoy reading the NFH staff’s collection of mishaps and holiday woes. We’re thinking we can’t possibly be alone. With this season, we also are celebrating the birth of Kathy and Mike Hare’s grandson, Nigel Thomas Hare, born to Patrick and Heather Laine Hare on Dec. 3, 2007. Nigel and his parents live in Phoenix, where the family will be spending Christmas, of course. The Hare family has received the best present this year!As we wrap up our fourth year at The NFH, we’d like to say happy holidays and Happy New Year to our readers and advertisers. We look forward to another great year in 2008!-Deb, Michelle and the NFH Team
