Amanda wrote a short story on the cheerleading squad, and once school is in full gear she’ll be contributing regularly to our D 49 sports updates.As a team, we’d like to express our deepest sympathy to NFH writer Kathleen Wallace and her husband, Earl. Earl’s mother died in Virginia on Aug. 9 following an illness.Thanks to the folks who called in the information, we are able to recognize in this issue a few students from D 49 who captured medals at the State Games of America, held in Colorado Springs this summer.
