Find great used books at bargain prices at this big book sale from Oct. 7 through Oct. 9. The sale, held at the Sand Creek Branch at 1821 S. Academy Blvd., will benefit the Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District. Friends’ memberships are available at the door.Doors open for Friends members only from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fri., Oct. 7. The sale opens to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 8. A “Bag Sale” will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 9. Books are $4 per grocery bag at the Bag Sale.Volunteers are needed to help the Friends move to their new office on Sat., Oct. 22.
