Free shredding in Black Forest

Do you shred all your personal and financial documents? If not, you have the potential to be a victim of identity theft. Collect all outdated financial documents and bring them to the FREE Fight Fraud – Shred Instead Event and food drive on Saturday, Sept. 27.The shredding location will be the Black Forest Lutheran Church parking lot at 12455 Black Forest Road in Black Forest. The time to safely shred your personal identifying paper documents is from 9 a.m. to noon. This identity theft prevention event is provided through the partnership of ElderWatch Colorado, the Black Forest AARP Chapter No.1100, the Black Forest Lutheran Church and Mobile Record Shredders.Mobile Record Shredders will professionally shred the documents. All paper and cardboard boxes will be recycled. Please limit what you bring to the equivalent of three copy paper size boxes per person. No plastic bags or three-ring binders will be accepted, as they cannot be shredded.Your donation of cash or non-perishable food items would be appreciated. All food and money will be donated to Black Forest Cares in support of the ongoing effort to combat hunger in the local community.Free coffee and snacks will be provided.
