Falcon Education Foundation fundraiser a success

The Falcon Education Foundation reached a new record of $34,946 in funds raised from the Ninth Annual Silent Auction and Recognition Dinner held at Bigg City Event Center April 18.The annual silent auction and recognition dinner is the primary fundraising event for the FEF, a volunteer group of private citizens, business owners and educators who seek to provide private support to education beyond the limits of normal tax support. This year’s attendance included more than 400 individuals and businesses who live and work in the D 49 community.”We are thrilled with the results of this year’s fundraising event,” said Scott Carmack, FEF president. “Thanks to the tremendous support of our district partner sponsors, the students of D 49 will have access to additional mini-grants and scholarships for creative and innovative education opportunities that are outside the regular curriculum and budget.”Partnering with the community, the FEF seeks to secure funding to enhance educational opportunities for students and staff by providing additional funding to help them reach their full potential for now and in the future.Falcon D 49 district partners include 1st Bank, Air Academy Federal Credit Union, Banning Lewis Ranch, Cameron Butcher, DLR Group, Falcon Family Eye Care, Stifel Nicolaus and Enhanced Mechanical.For additional information on the FEF, please contact Scott Carmack or visit www.d49.org/fef.
