Always among the top 10 New Yearís resolutions in the last decade is the promise to improve oneís fitness, through exercise and healthy eating. That resolve often involves membership to a gym, which can be costly and time consuming, considering the drive to and from, etc. (In all fairness, gyms do offer plenty of deals for the new year.) However, at-home, digital exercise programs have created an option that diminishes those come-February excuses for not following through with that resolution.Allison Horn, who is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at the Woodmen Hills Recreation Center, switched to teaching digital fitness during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. ìI definitely leaned into the online more than I ever had,î Horn said. ìIt became a lot more normal and people found it accessible because we had to.îShe said one of the best parts of digital fitness classes was the flexibility with classes and being able to work around peopleís schedules.Even if itís not a personal one-on-one trainer, there are plenty of digital exercise applications, which allow participants flexibility and simplicity. Work out wherever and whenever in the home.
