Christmas tree lighting

With a large community turnout, the Black Forest Community Club held their annual Christmas tree lighting Nov. 30. Girl Scout Troop 433 made ornaments to hang on the tree, and the Pine Creek High School choir led people in caroling. Firefighters helped organize the crowd and had the important task of transporting Santa Claus, who arrived on a brightly lit fire truck with sirens blaring. Because of a lack of snow, he opted for the truck instead of his sled. The festivities continued inside, with hot chocolate and cookies.
