Business group update

Eastern Plains Chamber of CommerceThe chamber held its monthly meeting Nov. 5. The membership voted for president and secretary for three-year-terms. Members elected Cheryl Scott, business development coach with Creative Success, as president; and re-elected Marci Pancoast, financial advisor with Pennica Financial Group, as secretary. Both candidates were unopposed.The next meeting is Dec. 3. at 7 a.m. at Grace Community Church in Falcon.LnB Connectors’ Northeast Cross ConnectThe Business Entrepreneurs Enhancing Relationships changed its name to Northeast Cross Connect in November. ìWe’re keeping some of the style and practices that worked for B.E.E.R., but adding a community service and charitable aspect,î said Brian Swanson, group facilitator. The networking group will continue to focus on education and training for its members, as well as traditional networking and referrals for business growth, Swanson said. The group also moved its meeting location to Frankie’s Too.Northeast Cross Connect meets every Friday at Frankie’s Too at 8:30 a.m.Falcon PEPNetThe local PEPNet chapter is looking for new members in construction, hair and nails, heating and cooling, plumbing and appliance repair. The group allows one member from each industry per chapter to avoid conflicts. ìWe’re looking forward to our catered holiday party in December,î said Art Pierson, chapter president. ìWe usually have 30 to 40 people attend, including the spouses of our existing members. We hope more Falcon businesses will come join us in the new year and grow their businesses.îFalcon PEPNet meets every Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. at La Mission Mexican Restaurant.
