The Black Forest Arts and Crafts Guild is gearing up once again for its November show and sale at the Black Forest Community Center.If one is looking for holiday gifts or just interested in viewing unique crafts and beautiful art pieces, the show is a not-to-be-missed event.Several of the guild members have received state and national recognition for their wares. The BFACG, in its 43rd year, promotes artists, craftsmen and chefs specializing in fine art, decorative arts and crafts and cuisine. The guild is the oldest continuous crafts guild west of the Mississippi River.The show is Nov. 1 through Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday; from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Black Forest Community Center is on the corner of Shoup and Black Forest roads in Black Forest.The guild boasts more than 100 members, and membership is open to all Black Forest residents on a space available basis. Currently, the BFACG meets monthly and features guest speakers and programs of interest. The guild also contributes to the community by promoting Black Forest, supporting community-wide organizations and providing a $1,000 college scholarship each year to a high school senior from Black Forest and surrounding areas, including parts of Falcon.For more information on the November show and the BFACG, contact Pam Devereau at 495-3035.
