Celebrating 60 years, the Educational Opportunity Foundation of the Black Forest held their annual scholarship awards banquet April 9 at the Black Forest Community Center. There were 18 applicants and eight scholarship winners from a variety of high schools — all had a long list of activities and honors from their individual school. The evening speaker was Glenn Strebe, the chief executive officer of Air Academy Credit Union.

Each of the recipients received a $3,000 scholarship. In no particular order, the recipients include the following: Lauren Anderson, Sydney Frazee, Noah Hulen, Rachel Limb, Amber Boland, Alex Gould, Katie Kline and Abby Stalp
