Falcon High School Salutatorian John SchoenThis year’s salutatorian will attend the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to complete a pre-pharmacy course and then transfer to the University of Colorado at Denver Health and Sciences Center to complete his degree in pharmacy. Afterward, he would like to become involved in pharmaceutical research.Throughout his high school career he has maintained a better than 4.0 grade point average as well as being involved in extracurricular activities at FHS, such as National Honor Society and Link Crew. He also received the Top Student Award from the Science Department in both 2004 and 2005.Outside of school, he has been involved with the Black Forest Trails Association, earned a Black Belt in Kempo Karate and cultivated his love of music.We congratulate John Schoen for having an outstanding high school career and attaining the ranking of salutatorian. John’s proud parents are Anne and Robert Schoen.Falcon High School Valedictorian Brianna BrownBrianna Brown, the 2006 FHS valedictorian, will attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where she will major in biology with a concentration in pre-medicine. She plans to become an officer and doctor in the United States Air Force.Brianna has maintained a better than 4.0 grade point average throughout her high school career and is a member of the National Honor Society. She has also been a leader in the JROTC program since its inception at FHS. This year, Brianna was flight commander of the class that won best flight in the December 2005 drill competition. In 2004 and 2005, she received both the AFJROTC and math departmental awards and the AP Scholar award in 2005.Outside of school, Brianna is actively involved with her church and has traveled to Mexico on a mission trip to build homes for Mexican families. She is also a piano teacher for elementary-age students.Congratulations Brianna Brown for having an outstanding high school career and attaining the ranking of valedictorian.
