The El Paso County Fair is one of the longest-running traditions in El Paso County. Residents from across the region celebrate agriculture, education and community spirit. Held annually in Calhan, the fair showcases the county’s rural heritage while providing entertainment and activities for visitors of all ages.
This year, the fair will take place July 11 through July 18.
A highlight of the fair is the 4-H and Future Farmers of America exhibits, where local youth display livestock, agricultural projects, crafts and other accomplishments developed throughout the year. These exhibits demonstratethe hard work, responsibility and skills the participants gain through their involvement in agricultural and leadership programs.
In addition to livestock competitions and exhibits, fairgoers can enjoy carnival rides, live entertainment, rodeo events, vendor booths and a variety of food offerings. Family-friendly activities and educational displays provide opportunities for visitors to learn more about farming, ranching, and the importance of agriculture in the local economy.
