The Falcon American Legion Dane R. Balcon Post 2008 will be hosting its 17th annual four-person scramble golf tournament on July 18 at the Antler Creek Golf Course in Falcon. This is the primary fundraiser for the Falcon American Legion Post and all proceeds from this tournament are used to provide support and assistance to veterans, veterans’ families, veteran and youth programs and School District 49 student college scholarships. The cost is $125 per-person or $500 per-four-person team.
The American Legion Post 2008 was established in 2007 and named in honor of SPC Dane R. Balcon of Falcon, Colorado. After graduating from Sand Creek High School, Dane enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, to do what he dreamed of since childhood — serving his country. Dane deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in July 2007 and was killed in the line of duty on Sept. 5, 2007.

Sponsor an individual veteran golfer for $125 or a four-person veteran team for $500. No donation is too big or too small, and we are always in need of items for our raffle.
