New Mexican restaurant at Antler Creek

Juan and Robin Madera opened Omelets Etc 12 years ago on Eighth Street in Colorado Springs. Their success with the first restaurant led to two more sites in the Springs before they opened in Falcon two years ago.On April 18, they ventured into new restaurant cuisine territory by opening Maderaís Grill and Cantina at the Antler Creek Clubhouse, thanks to a welcoming Falcon community. Robin Madera said, ìWhen we opened Omelets, they were so welcoming and warm, and weíve gotten to know a lot of our guests. We are happy to expand in Falcon. Itís a great community, and we love the golf site.îThe Madera restaurants are family owned and operated. Drop into any one of the stores and find extended family members and the Maderasí oldest of eight children hard at work.A grill and cantina that serves lunch and dinner on a golf course is a departure from breakfast foods. ìWe are excited about the opportunity to try something new and different,î Madera said. ìWeíve always wanted to possibly open a Mexican restaurant so this gave us an opportunity to do a menu thatís American and Mexican dishes.î Fans of Juan Maderaís homemade green chili have no fear of missing out at the new restaurant. His green chili is smothered on Mexican specialties like fajita-burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas and chile rellenos, and it goes well with classic American foods like burgers, hot dogs and French fries. The restaurant also offers traditional grill items, from sandwiches to steaks, pork chops and chicken; along with salads and many kids menu items. Madera said they have hired experienced bartenders who are developing signature drinks, including the house specialty margarita.Maderaís restaurant hosts weddings, graduation parties and other events like QuinceaÒeras (15th birthday celebrations).
