The Falcon Fire Protection District Board of Directors meeting was held at Station 1 on March 16.With the meeting lasting about 40 minutes, the meeting agenda was shorter than usual.Treasurers reportChief Trent Harwig said that 16.7% of the fiscal year was complete and 11% expenditures were under forecast with $3.5 million dollars allocated. The budget is on track. He indicated the fuel bill was still manageable but expected to increase.OperationsAdditional people have been hired, which resulted in a decrease of reserve standby hours. There were 159 emergency medical service transports last month.COVID-19The department is waiting for potential new changes or requirements because of the new Omicron variant strain.Station 3The old Station 3 facility, under construction for conversion to an administration building, is ahead of schedule, with an anticipated completion date of mid-2023.
