This month’s safety tip comes from driver Cale Lohman, who has been a firefighter for 12 years. He started out as a volunteer at Palmer Lake Fire Department and served several other fire departments before becoming a reservist with Falcon in 2017 and a paid firefighter in 2018. Before becoming a firefighter, Lohman worked at several jobs. He said he had a buddy who was attending the fire fighting academy. He accompanied his buddy to class one day, and that is when he discovered his life’s vocation. He is recently married; when he is off-duty, he likes to spend time outdoors and dancing to country music.Safety Tip: To eliminate slips, trips and falls on ice, spread salt, sand or dirt on walkways. Keep snow shoveled off walkways and hold on to handrails.Stay connected with the Falcon Fire Protection DistrictWebsite: http://www.falconfirepd.orgFacebook: Falcon Fire DepartmentTwitter: @FalconFireDeptNextDoor.com
