Dear Editor,The article ìFalcon incorporation effort continuesî in the NFH January 2011 has only addressed what seems to be valid points in the ìcommitteesî view.†Mr. Hurd stated that ìthe reason the last incorporation measure failed was because the people did not know who the members of the committee were.î That sounds egotistical to me.†I voted against the measure because I have yet to be convinced that giving up the services I already have from paying my property taxes to the County, so that I can live in a ìTOWNî and to be ìIN CONTROLî is worth it.Some of the questions (there are many more) that I would like for the voters to be asking the ìcommitteeî areQ:† Which people and what control?Q: Where are the benefits of incorporation when we will have to turn around and pay the same agencies for the same services we already have?Q: How do you propose to generate 3.5 to 6 million dollars annually with the small amount of people and businesses in the proposed area?Mr. Hurd also stated in the article that a number of planned road projects that will fall within the incorporated areas boundaries will be put in jeopardy of being cancelled.Q: Why would this be a benefit?Once (if) approved by the voters, Falcon becomes a town, WE the Citizens of Falcon then become responsible for the maintenance of all public works within whatever boundaries become Falcon.I voted against incorporation the last time not as Mr. Hurd states ìbecause I did not know who the people on the committee wereî but because I still have yet to be furnished with an answer to the question: what are the benefits?†††Arthur Wilson
