Mountain View Cafe

The Mountain View Cafe opened at the end of April, and co-owner Brandon Bryant has been a chef for more than 20 years, with experience in all kinds of cuisines.Sarah Bryant, the other co-owner, said they wanted to open a small place in the Black Forest community because they ìlove the area,î and plan to reside there as well. The Bryants are from Southeast Texas. The cafe will offer American contemporary food, including burgers and healthy lunch options. Breakfast is available all day. The cafe will open for Bronco games, with plans to serve wings and pizza.ìWe have homemade pies and the best homemade cheesecake ó all made in house,î Sarah Bryant said. ìWe are family owned and run, and we have a calm, relaxing atmosphere with mountain viewsî ó and country music in the background.The cafe seats 26 and has outside seating as well. They are available to cater meetings, parties and functions, large and small, as well as weddings. They will also host parties after hours in the cafe. They will offer holiday meals and desserts like pies, cakes and specialty cookies for pre-order for Thanksgiving and Christmas ó and special requests.Bryant said they have already worked with a few local charities and plan to continue holding events for the organizations.The cafe is at 11425 Black Forest Road, and is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
