In October, GTL Development Inc., owner of the Meridian Ranch development, won approval from the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners for the platting of the developmentís third filing.Documents filed in support of GTLís application show that filing 3 is at the eastern end of Londonderry Drive. The 33.6-acre filing consists of 122 single-family lots ñ 19 more than the number of lots specified in the development plan approved by the county in 2005.The additional lots were created by decreasing lot width, which had been sized at three per acre. The change required GTL to amend the development and preliminary plans for Meridian Ranchís second phase, but the overall cap of 3,275 units remains unchanged.Hopper Ranch PreserveIn October, the BOCC also approved a request by Falcon resident, Esteban Rodriguez, to rezone a 39.1-acre agricultural parcel north of Falcon as a planned unit development. The parcel is at the intersection of Hopper Road and Elbert Road. The development plan for the Hopper Ranch Preserve specifies four single-family residential lots served by individual wells and septic systems.Hopper Ranch is located in the Peyton Fire Protection District and the Peyton School District.
