Falcon School District 49 will host a Community Engagement Conference April 17, one of the first-ever events of its kind. In an effort to include opinions of community members, students, district staff and community leaders, this conference will provide an open forum for discussion of the issues facing students. The conference will provide an environment in which the entire community can work together to provide a foundation for developing steps necessary to close the achievement gap and raise expectations. The goal is to come away with collaborative solutions to ensure every student is performing at the highest standards within the Falcon district education system and beyond.”We want to prepare students, in a safe and caring environment, to be successful, competent and productive citizens in a global society,” said D49 Superintendent Dr. Brad Schoeppey. The conference will be held Saturday, April 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Reservations are required.
