Jenna Weed, 18, of Colorado Springs, competed against four others for the 2006 El Paso County Fair Queen title in March at the El Paso County Fair and Events Complex in Calhan.Jenna, a senior at Pine Creek High School, is the daughter of Charlene and Jerry Weed of Colorado Springs. After graduation, she plans to attend Pikes Peak Community College, where her studies will focus on becoming a school counselor or probation officer.Jenna’s accomplishments include Best Sportsmanship awards in 4-H, the Merit Honor Roll, public speaking experience, seven years participation in 4-H, with emphasis in horse projects and sports distinction of Most Improved on Pine Creek’s dance team. She also was historian of her Kit Carson Riding Club and participated in the Kit Carson Riding Club Royalty, where she represented the club at parades and various other functions.The 101st El Paso County Fair will be held July 22 through July 29 in Calhan.
