Youth of the year honored

Each year, exchange clubs across the country honor outstanding high school students who have attained high levels of scholastic achievement, community involvement and leadership, with their club’s youth of the month award. From the youth of the month recipients chosen during the school year, the youth of the year is chosen. Each club’s youth of the year winners advance to district competition with the opportunity to vie for the prestigious National Youth of the Year Award.The Exchange Club of Falcon has honored six Falcon High School students with the youth of the month award this year. Recipients completed an essay, with the theme chosen by the National Exchange Club, which were reviewed by members of the club. At the May 19 meeting, the Exchange Club of Falcon honored Aubrey Mazerall as their Youth of the Year and presented her with a plaque and a check for $250. Aubrey plans to attend college with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she hopes to return to college and obtain her master’s degree. The Exchange Club of Falcon wishes Aubrey good luck on the district competition and all the best on her future plans.Congratulations Aubrey.
