The Exchange club of Falcon recognized the Youth of the Month of October, Brittany Torres , who has demonstrated both curricular excellence and social skills while holding several leadership roles. Ranking 74th out of 328 students in her senior class at Falcon High School, Brittany was selected as an honoree by the American Legion to attend Girls State. There, she took on responsibilities as a city council person in a program used to teach leadership skills and citizenship. Brittany has also been a leader with the Falcon High Schoolís year book staff, ìJust 3 Seconds TAG,î (Teen Awareness Group coordinator), and the coordinator for the schoolís accident response team.Brittanyís extracurricular activities include membership in the El Paso County Cadet Program, Young Marines events, volunteering as a candy striper at St. Francis Penrose Hospital. She also practices martial arts. Brittany has a grade point average of 3.5 and would like to become a lawyer specializing in child advocacy.
