At a Nov. 18 meeting, the Exchange Club of Falcon honored Aubrey Mazerall with the November Youth of the Month award. Mazerall ranks ninth in a class of 257 students and holds a 4.067 GPA. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, her goal is to become an elementary school teacher, wanting to help children get started on the right path and make a difference in their lives. After teaching, Aubrey intends to return to college to get her master’s degree.Mazerall is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. In school, she participated in softball, band, drama and community service through the LINK program and is active in the Girl Scouts. She has volunteered at The Dance Center of Colorado Springs, Town and Country Preschool, SHARE Colorado, and Helping Hands. Mazerall currently works at the Falcon School of Dance as a dance instructor teaching children ages 3 to 12. Aubrey was presented with a savings bond and a plaque.First Lt. Mark Bauer and his wife, Mandy, attended the Exchange Club meeting.
