The Eastern Plains Youth Choir resumed rehearsals in January at Peyton Elementary School. Rehearsals take place every Wednesday from 4:30 to p.m. Membership is open to singers in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades from the area.The choir performs for local events and schools on the eastern plains about four to six times per year.The Eastern Plains Youth Choir is a satellite choir of the Colorado Springs Childrenís Chorale. The weekly rehearsals focus on vocal technique, drama for vocal performance, music theory, choreography, stage presence and performance etiquette.
