Four members of the Pikes Peak Workforce Center staff were recently recognized for their contributions to the community.Paula Ferguson, the PPWFC work experience coordinator, was honored on July 3 at the Department of Youth Corrections Zebulon Pike Youth Facility’s Annual Honors Ceremony for her role in their work experience program. Ferguson helped the youth gain valuable experience and learn and practice skills by creating opportunities for them to work with various businesses and on community projects in Colorado Springs.Patricia Frank, Monica Bryce and Mark Berninger, members of the PPWFC Veterans staff, were honored by the U.S. Department of Labor and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment for going above and beyond their duties, helping veterans in the Pikes Peak region secure civilian employment.
