Stormy weather did not dampen the fun at the Woodmen Hills Water Fest, which took place at the end of July. About 25 kids showed up to skid down the giant slip and slide, participate in the water balloon fight and enjoy fresh popcorn and other goodies. Shana MacDonald, recreation director for Woodmen Hills, said it was a great event. ìMy only complaint is that my fingers hurt from tying so many water balloons,î she said.
