Parents and students from Woodmen Hills nominated 10 of their teachers for the Disney Teacher awards.The awards are presented to teachers nationwide who design learning environments where students and teachers explore, imagine and engage in a variety of stimulating ideas and experiences. The program honors teachers who exemplify creativity in teaching and inspire a joy of learning in their students.The nominated teachers are Malinda Keck, Michelle Fothergill, Clayton Brown, Joe Fabey, Gloria Slayton, Wendy Trapp, Mary Hopper, Mindy Abbott, Barbara Colby and Julie Cole.The 45 Disney honorees will be announced in late spring.
