July 18 at 6 p.m., Woodmen Hills will dedicate a new playground at the Community Center West, 11720 Woodmen Hills Drive. The facility will accommodate children from 5 to 12 years of age. The new addition is in response to a community survey and reflects a need among the residents of the general Falcon area. An El Paso County Urban Grant and Colorado Trust Fund made this playground possible. Two additional playgrounds are to be completed in 2008. County Commissioner Amy Lathen and El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa will be present for the ribbon cutting. The public is invited to share in this celebration.
