Four Woodmen Hills Metro District board members are running for re-election: Brad Rutan, Robert Sobota, David Haehn and Wade Gore. The three new candidates are Jan Pizzi, Monroe Robinson and Ted Hanchett. Voters will determine the successful candidates during a May 6 election.The five-member board directs the affairs of the Woodmen Hills neighborhood and oversees issues involving water usage, wastewater, drainage, parks and recreation, and street lighting. The board also is responsible for ensuring fiscal responsibility and maintaining funds to cover current and future operating costs.The board holds community meetings the third Monday of each month; residents are invited to attend and present needs and address community issues.Voting takes place at the Woodmen Hills Metro District office, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., May 6 at 8046 Eastonville Rd.For more information about the board, visit the Woodmen Hills District Board Web site: http://woodmenhillsdistrictboard.info/homebase.htm.
